Temple/Heritage cum Community Centre
Kashmir Kashyap Sabha Gurugram (KKS) is a socio-cultural non-profit organization registered with the vision to serve the displaced Kashmiri Hindu community post the 1990 mass exodus and retain its socio-cultural identity and heritage. The objectives include promoting educational and health activities among vulnerable community members. The society’s jurisdiction extends to Gurugram district, covering an area of more than 500 square kilometers.
Hon’ble Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, the present Union Minister of Power and the then Chief Minister of Haryana, allotted approximately 1100 square meters of plot to KKS for building a cultural-heritage cum community centre. The allotted land is located in Palam Vihar, an upscale colony of Gurugram, about 100 meters away from Rezangla war memorial and an upcoming metro station.
The construction of a 3-storey building with a basement, approved by state authorities, commenced with the foundation stone laid by then OSD to Chief Minister Mr. Jawahar Yadav on 18.06.2023. As of now, significant progress has been made, including excavation, basement work, reinforcement of retaining walls, and initial brickwork. The estimated cost for completion is approximately Rs. 3.5 to 4 crores.
To date, expenses have exceeded 43 lakhs rupees, with contributions from our biradari , crucial to completing this landmark project for our community. As is evident, this project requires significant support from our baradari, and I am confident that our community will step forward to provide financial assistance and help us complete the project expeditiously.
