I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for re-electing me as the President of Kashyap Kashmir Sabha for a second consecutive term. Your trust in me is deeply humbling and comes with added responsibility to fulfill our team’s vision for the upcoming term.
In this context, I earnestly request all of you to join hands and support us in building our much-awaited Temple-cum-Heritage Centre. I would like to bring to your attention that the Government of Haryana graciously allotted us a piece of land in 2018 during the tenure of Honorable Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar. This land was officially registered under the name of Kashyap Kashmir Sabha in October 2020. Since then, we have achieved significant milestones, including the zoning of the land in 2022 and the approval of architectural drawings for the Temple-cum-Heritage Centre in 2023-24 after overcoming numerous hurdles at HUDA Panchkula and DTP Gurugram.
The total cost of this ambitious project of around 16000 Sq Ft is estimated to be approximately ₹7 crores as per current calculations. Our immediate focus, however, is to complete Phase 1 of the project, which includes constructing the basement and the temple area on the ground floor. The estimated cost of this phase is around ₹1.5-2 crores.
So far, we have raised approximately ₹50 lakhs through donations, which have been utilized for the construction of the basement. We are now at a critical stage where we need additional funds to complete the basement and proceed with laying the lantern.
We appeal to all members of the Kashmiri Biradari to donate generously to this noble cause. This project is a significant milestone for the Gurugram Kashmiri community and will serve as a symbol of pride for the entire Kashmiri Samaj. Unlike collaborative initiatives, this project will be owned exclusively by the Gurugram Kashmiri Biradari. Just as other major cities in India have their own Kashmiri Bhawans, this Temple-cum-Heritage Centre will be our unique contribution.
To encourage donations, our executive body has passed a resolution offering the following acknowledgments:
1)Contributions between ₹50,000 and ₹1,00,000 will enable donors to have a family member’s name (such as a parent) displayed on a dedicated wall.
2)Donations between ₹1,00,000 and ₹5,00,000 will grant a place on a “Hall of Fame” board.
3)Contributions of ₹10,00,000 and above will allow donors to name a hall in honor of their parents (while retaining all property rights with the Sabha).
Donors also have the option to contribute in smaller, recurring monthly amounts.
We urge our younger generation to take the lead in reaching out to corporations for funding and to act as ambassadors for this dream project by sharing our QR code in various groups and encouraging others to contribute.
Every single rupee donated will go towards this noble cause & will bring good fortune & blessings from Maa Sharika to all contributors.
We welcome all suggestions & are willing to meet anyone who can help in raising funds. Let us come together to make this dream a reality & create a lasting legacy for our future generations
